Bob's Bio

Back to Bios

Bob began playing the bass in 1980 and played in various local rock bands in New Jersey while taking private lessons. He attended Manhattan School of Music in 1986 and 1987 to study jazz then moved to the Shenandoah Valley to join a working band. Bob has played in numerous bands over the years, covering a wide range of music from reggae, ska, punk, jazz and a little of everything in-between. However, musical influences such as Jaco Pastorius, Sly and the Family Stone, and the Meters fueled his life long passion for funk and in 2001 he formed Everyday People with his friends Jim Cochrane and Andy Perrine. By day Bob owns a custom furniture shop called Lower Rawley Woodworks.
