Jim's Bio

Back to Bios

Jim Cochrane grew up in Uniondale, Long Island where he started playing guitar in high school. Early influences included Jimmy Page, Randy Rhoads and Eddie Van Halen. He played in various local garage bands doing rock covers and then put down the guitar for a few years. In 1993 he moved to the valley and met Bob Adamek who introduced him to funk, soul and R&B. This inspired him to pick the guitar back up and in 2001 he became a charter member of the then trio, Everyday People. Jim enjoys playing his guitar with a "clean" sound now, but he can’t help throwing in a distorted Jimmy Page lead here and there. Jim is an Occupational Therapist at Augusta Medical Center.
