Tim's BioBack to Bios
Tim Stuart, a native of Staunton Virginia, is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts
in music performance with a concentration in music education at Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Virginia. He first began playing saxophone at the age of 11 and has maintained an active private saxophone studio since 2002. A former student of renowned jazz saxophonist Charles "Bucky" Clarke, Tim now studies saxophone with David Snively at Bridgewater College as well as David Pope at James Madison University. Tim has performed with numerous groups, most notably as a featured soloist with The Artie Shaw Big Band and as a principal saxophonist at "The National Wind Symposium" held at Virginia Tech in 2006. Tim regularly performs with funk/soul band Everyday People, Mill Street Grill house jazz combo Lew Morrison & S.P.L.A.A.A.T, oldies band Bluesuede, classic rock band Royal Blue, as well as in a jazz duo with pianist Wes Allen at Tini's Lounge. He is also an active member and saxophone section leader for both the Bridgewater College Jazz and Symphonic Bands and can be heard in frequent recitals in Bridgewater College's Carter Center for Worship and Music.
